Founding Artistic Director: Caprice Woosley

Founding Artistic Director Caprice Woosley co-founded Stone Soup with Rebecca Johannsen in 2001. Ms. Woosley directed
the critically acclaimed production of the haunting
Boy Gets Girl by Rebecca Gilman for Stone Soup in 2004. Ms. Woosley
holds an M.A. in Theatre from SDSU, where she directed
The House of Blue Leaves, Come Back to the 5 & Dime Jimmy
Dean, Jimmy Dean
and The Donahue Sisters. She was the Artistic Director of Skull and Dagger, the oldest student
organization at SDSU, from 1999-2000. She has been the Assistant Director for
Going to St. Ives at La Jolla Playhouse and
Vita and Virginia at the Old Globe Theatre. She was also the Artistic Director of Theatre Fest, a fundraising event for the
theatre department at Diablo Valley College, where she also directed
Trifles and Third and Oak: The Laundromat. While in the
Bay Area, she also worked as an assistant director for the Sonoma Shakespeare Festival’s production of
A Midsummer Night's
Dream
and as an assistant director for Festival Opera's productions of La Boheme and Don Giovanni.
