Associate Artist: Therese Schneck

Therese gets the title "Associate Artist" because she is a jack-of-all-traites of the theatre. She has
performed in Stone Soup's
Love's Fire and directed the recent production of Two Rooms, but she
also has extensive experience in the fields of design and technical direction. Past directing credits
include
The Author’s Voice, The Dreamer Examines His Pillow, and Christopher Durang’s Medea
at the British American Dramatic Academy in Oxford, England. She has been the assistant director
for productions of
Onion Skins and Angels, children’s, bilingual, touring show and As You Like
It
. She has worked in almost every aspect of technical theater from wardrobe maintenance to
sound design. One of her most proud accomplishments was the lighting design for
Twelfth Night.
Therese graduated from San Diego State University with a B.A. in Theater and an emphasis in
performance. Her favorite roles were in
Love’s Fire, The House of Blue Leaves, The Children's
Hour
, Come Back to the Five and Dime Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean and Macbeth (the last three
productions all co-starring with Artistic Director Rebecca Johannsen). She is very proud to be
teaching Theater Appreciation at Futures High School and hopes to pursue teaching drama at the
high school level.
